Wakeel and Power of Attorney

Where the UK-based bride or groom cannot attend personally in Pakistan, a Wakeel or special power of attorney may be relevant. The document should clearly authorise the required Nikah acts and may need appropriate witnessing, notarisation or attestation before use in Pakistan.

UK Documents and Pakistan Registration

Passport, CNIC/NICOP and marital-status documents are reviewed according to the case. After solemnisation, the Pakistan-side Nikah Nama and registration process should be completed accurately.

Recognition and Immigration in the UK

Whether an overseas or remotely arranged Nikah is recognised for a particular UK legal, immigration or administrative purpose is a separate question. Couples should check the requirements of the relevant UK authority and obtain UK advice where necessary. We do not promise spouse-visa approval or automatic UK recognition.
